About the Author

    April Kelly is the Senior Director of the LinkedIn Service Center in Omaha, which she opened in March 2007. LinkedIn has established the world’s largest and most powerful business network. Currently, over 25 million professionals are on LinkedIn.


    She is currently cultivating high-performance, customer-centric teams in the areas of customer service, account management, sales, and quality assurance.


    Prior to LinkedIn, April worked at PayPal and assisted in the launch of their call center in April 2000. She also developed multiple areas of PayPal’s customer support solutions.


    April has a passion for developing teams, vision, and culture. She successfully established elite service teams for both PayPal and Linkedin while establishing much of the infrastructure both service centers enjoy today. She also has extensive professional background in sales, marketing, coaching (both sports and business), and public speaking. April has been recognized by the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce for her help in bringing new business to the Omaha area (Yahoo!).


    She is President of Gratitude Academy, LLC, which is dedicated to cultivating gratitude principles in a multitude of settings. The vision of the Academy is to foster a positive, thankful community.


    April completed her degree in communications at Bellevue University.
